No matter what I did, the connection to my phone was failing, or if the connection was made, it did not manifest the phone window on my Tower computer. I run Linux on the tower.

But then I thought to try with a different USB port, and immediately the SCRCPY window was on my desktop, working perfectly.

Both usb ports are on my tower's front panel, but are of two different banks. The failing one was usb 2, the good one is usb 3, though I doubt that makes the difference. Probably the safest bet is to use the usb ports directly off the motherboard in the rear. On a laptop, it would be the port on the same side as the cpu/fan.

So I'm just posting this possibly to help someone else. Perhaps a note about this can go into the readme and/or faqs.

Be well.
