Contributing

Copyright and licensing

The source code for CWAC is licensed under the GPL-3.0 license. By contributing source code to CWAC, you are agreeing to license your contributions under and on the terms of the GPL-3.0. Please note that your licence is irrevocable and royalty-free. You or your licensors retain any copyright in your contributions while allowing others to re-use the source code in any way they like as long as they meet the requirements of the licence.

Getting set up for development

Follow the instructions in README.md to get up and running.

Please make sure to use pre-commit — it will automatically check your code meets all the required formatting conventions.

Submitting code changes

  1. Create a fork of this repository
  2. Clone the fork to your local machine
  3. Create a new branch for your feature
  4. Commit the changes, push the code to your fork
  5. Go to the original CWAC repository, and create a pull request.
  6. Please make sure you keep each pull request focused on one specific change/feature, and write good commit messages/descriptions, and a high-quality pull request title/description.

Suggesting enhancements, or reporting bugs

  1. Create a new issue in the Issues tab.
  2. Be as clear and descriptive as possible.
