How to disable modules properly?

I have a module that adds a new button in the pause menu that once pressed it'll open up a Substate (which is in a separate haxe file)

I want to disable and/or enable THAT module if it finds a json file in a path but it doesn't work at all I don't know why

Here's the code

And Here's the module I'm trying to disable and/or enable

Just solved the issue
It was caused by a null object reference with game
