Setup

  1. Open the "App Store" and search for "Advanced Profanity Filter"
  2. Purchase/install the Advanced Profanity Filter app Install From Store
  3. Open the Advanced Profanity Filter app (Using Finder, Launch Pad, etc.)
  4. Click the button that says "Quit and Open Safari Extensions Preferences..." and make sure its enabled Advanced Profanity Filter App
  5. Recommended In the permissions section, click "Always Allow on Every Website..." Allow on Every Website Screen Shot 2022-09-20 at 8 53 11 PM
  6. You can then click on "Preferences" to open the Advanced Profanity Filter Option's page

🔇Audio Muting (Options Page > Audio Tab)

  1. Enable "Mute audio muting on supported video sites" Audio Tab
  2. Click on the "Supported Sites Status" button to see a list of supported sites

IMPORTANT: For the muting to work, you'll need to make sure that the video includes captions/subtitles and that they are on

Additional Audio Options

  • Captions/Subtitles: Control which captions/subtitles will be visible (not supported on all sites)
  • Only mute audio: Disable the normal text filtering for the extension (useful if you only want to use for audio muting)
