Filtered subtitles not showing consistently BBC UK

Thanks for this plugin, we really enjoy using it.

We have turned on the filtered only subtitle option so we don't lose the gist of the muted audio, but sadly the subtitles are not showing. It worked for one episode of The Tourist on BBC UK (ep 4) but so far nothing else.

If 2 lines of subtitles are muted then the second sometimes shows.

Are there any recommendations to get this working consistently so we can follow the gist?
