I know there is a way to get random bees from Botania with this mod, but it would be nice if we could get a / the hive / hives someway so we don't have to use the random way.

There is a block in Botania called "The Cocoon of Caprice" that normally gives you a random baby animal. If given certain items, will give you other things IE Villager for an Emerald / Shulker for Chorus Fruit. I was wondering if you could somehow make the Cocoon give Bee hives with something like a honey comb.

one beehive per comb seems awful cheap, considering how expensive the Hiveacynth is to both run and make. Maybe with a special item crafted with aromatic lumps and some other tricky to get items?

That said, I'm not sure /why/ you'd need a way to generate hives, when hives only function is to drop bees, and we have a flower for that...

Was thinking at the time for a guaranteed way of getting specific hives bees, Yeah, one honey comb is a bit cheap, maybe something it'd use something else if it becomes a feature.

It's a bit late but you could perhaps make a crafting recipe involving some mid-tier forestry/magic-bees ingredients (say some of the combs, or certain kinds of wax) that turns the Cocoon of Caprice into a... I don't know, a Mother Hive? That you could then feed Royal Jelly and Honeydew (or whatnot) to for it to eventually produce a hive. Could be interesting.
