Hahaha, I didn’t want to miss anything, so I watched the entire video!

And yes, this is actually the expected behavior!

The "Add New Trigger" button does exactly what its name suggests—it adds a new trigger. If you already have Shortcut Triggers, it won’t duplicate them. Instead, it only allows you to add triggers that you don’t currently have.

If you look just above the "Add New Trigger" button, you’ll see the count of triggers inside On Shortcut Press (as shown in the image below).

Since this section groups all On Shortcut Press triggers together, and you already have those specific triggers, clicking "Add New Trigger" will only show new, available triggers—not ones you’ve already added.

If you want to add more On Shortcut Press triggers, you need to open the corresponding trigger group.

In this image you can see I added all possible triggers and the "+ Add New Trigger" is gone

1. There is literally zero reason to make that decision. Everything goes to the same page so looks like they do essentially the same thing

2. Even if I accept the design choice (which I dont at all) the visual hierarchy that's built does not in any way suggest that is the function as clicking on either button goes to the same screen looking the same and even the "On Shourtcut Press" link in the side panel only has one of the potentially multiple shortcut triggers.

I get that there are feature additions and that the UI as a result is not consistent.

FlutterFlow is a miracle as it is I love it and this is kinda like the Louis CK complaining about the wifi being broken on the airplane bit.

summary:

• the on shortcut press summarizes the combined actions but you can delete an individual action
• another visual indicator that does NOT separate the functionality in "at least one" users head
• also it just makes things more complicated when all it has to do is get to the editor
• there is literally no functional reason to restrict behaviour

I mean... I have a fridge full of eggs literally 90 eggs because I am a weirdo (if you havent noticed).

I might go to the grocery store to get some soda water knowing full well that I have 90 eggs and no intention of buying more eggs.

But what if they are on sale? I might want more eggs! (look up Vince Gironda muscle building diet if you're curious)

Why would the grocery store not let me buy eggs? Or hide the eggs?

That's what this feels like.

It feels like then if I take 25 minutes, walk back home, say to my girlfriend "I am going to the store for eggs" ("but your farts are smelly enough do you really need more eggs, dear?"), spend another 25 minutes and walk back to the store...

...NOW I can buy the eggs??
