Could it be posible the use of crx for send updates in Chrome? Ungoogled Chromium and Brave for Linux support this right now.

the developer wants to release it on a chromium-based browser soon (#55). So, I think we need to be patient and in the meantime as a stopgap measure, we can use this extension on the chromium-based browser by following the instruction on the homepage.

Hi, I saw the crx is ready to download. But, when I try to load it on MS Edge. the browser cannot detected the crx file. is it a bug?

In Brave it's working fine, Edge support crx outside of Chrome Web Store?

I don't know which browsers actually allow this to be installed. I just added the crx for download because I was asked to.

I haven't tested it yet if there is a way to auto update these crx files.

@FilipePS sorry I tried to Brave and it works properly. But. for auto update in crx format. I think you need to properly register your extension to the chrome store similar like this issue (#55)
