Basic Strategy Overview Question

Hi I'm trying to workout how to add a new strategy or fix the current ones, because over the last week any average macd strategy would have created good profits from the uptrend of BTC/USD, but running the same thing on this bot == losses.

Is there a high level overview of how this works? Be great to publish some docs so we can get more PRs added to this project. JS/Node is f#cking crazy.

So I can see the strategies/macd folder how does that work with a sim or trade feature?
