macOS / home-brew installation

hi I installed via home-brew I tried running ./dnscrypt-proxy -resolve google.com .. and I get no such file or directory . I have my toml config file set up to use anon dns and doh to false .. help please first time setting up on Mac ... runs like a charm on my linux system . what am I missing. ? how do I start the service on Mac ? (Monterey)
