Strange connection issues (Solved)

Within the past few days I've been having strange connection issues that I think I have isolated to dnscrypt-proxy, here's what happens:

1. dnscrypt-proxy connects and becomes ready.
2. Pinging addresses and all network accessing applications work completely fine.
3. After some time (it varies), pinging addresses fails citing ping: Temporary failure in name resolution and applications can't connect to the internet.
4. But, here's the strange part, one domain seemingly at random will still load completely fine. Let's say Element (matrix.org) and Firefox (github.com) are open, when step 3 happens Firefox's github tab will be fully functioning for that domain and new projects can be navigated to, however, Element will say it can no longer connect and will fail.

• This means it cannot be a network issue; I couldn't navigate around github.com otherwise. But, it can't be that DNS resolution is failing; it wouldn't explain why only one domain of many actively used ones would resolve while others can't even though they should all be cached the same (Also doesn't explain why certain application tend to "win" more often as FreeTube survives over Firefox which survives over Element every single time).

5. Restarting dnscrypt-proxy fixes the issue until step 3 happens at some point later.

I have absolutely no idea what caused this or what triggers step 3 in this process, dnscrypt-proxy never reports an error so I don't have any error logs to show, please say if you're also encountering this issue.

I found this issue which seems to be related to what's happening here, I've switched out the servers and relays I'm using and I'm going to see if that fixes things, if the problem is happening at the server's end it would explain why dnscrypt-proxy isn't reporting any errors. EDIT: Yep, haven't been able to cause step 3, cs-* servers and relays do not mix and eventually the connection to the DNS servers are lost.
