Unusable website when height is too small

I get this behavior when height of the home page is too small: top bar disappears, making the website close to unusable, in the sense it looks like we have barely one page.

Please prioritize because at least one person reported it, I expect many simply didn't realize there was more than the home page ;)

PS: #189 is visible as well
