I'm working on my Master's Thesis and the project basically consists of making a kinematic analysis of an assistive upper limb robotic device for patients that suffered a stroke. In order to make this analysis and conclude if the robotic therapy brings benefits to the rehabilitation process of the upper limb, I'm making a simulation of some shoulder and elbow movements using OpenSim. I aim to compare the movements with and without the robotic device (the device we are using in our investigation facility is the UR5).
The upper limb model that I intend to use is based on the already-existent
arm26.osim
example model, but now I'm trying to create a model that integrates the robotic device (UR5) with the human upper limb. I've seen a study that built an exoskeleton model using only the OpenSim software (the DOI of that study: 10.1109/EMBC48229.2022.9871441), but I am having some trouble creating my own UR5 model. Do you think that there are enough tools in OpenSim Creator to build my model? If yes, could you help me in some way, maybe give me some tips on how to start it?Beta Was this translation helpful?
