vert_diff config is marked as a bool but takes string values:

vert_diff:
  help: "Vertical diffusion [`false` (default), `VerticalDiffusion`, `true` (defaults to `VerticalDiffusion`), `DecayWithHeightDiffusion`]"
  value: false

This also triggers a warning when running a simulation
