Installation instructions
This page documents how to build SIRF from source. See this page for alternative (and easier) ways to get SIRF.
A strength of SIRF is that it uses the expertise of other well-developed Open Source packages for medical image reconstruction. A downside is that these external packages and their dependencies need to be installed. We developed the SuperBuild to help with that.
Follow the instructions in its README. The SuperBuild has been tested on Linux and MacOS. Work is in progress for the Windows platform.

This is not recommended. Only do this if you have experience with building several software packages. You can find more (outdated) information on Step by step building of dependencies and SIRF.
