This is inspired by our daunting compilation time.

I suggest we create (over time) a list of benchmarks that we want to run.

The first one would probably be
ntp check compilation performance:

  • scram b clean
  • compile dependencies first (1-by-1) with AnalysisSoftware last
  • compile NTP
  • write results for each step in machine readable format
