Tiglath-pileser. An Assyrian king who took captive much the northern kingdom of Israel during the time of King Pekah of Israel and King Ahaz of Judah. He also protected Judah from Syrian and Israelite attacks (acai). Other forms include: Jareb, Pul, Tilgath-pilneser, great. Roles include: Emperor, King.
