If the REPL windows are open when reconnecting the repl session, the reconnect will fail and the REPL windows will be rendered disconnected and unresponsive.

A work around is to close the windows and the reconnect. Also, if you have happened to disable the REPL windows this way, you can get things working again by closing them and then reconnecting.
