Feature Request: Follow WP instances directly

I am following the rapid development of this plugin with enthusiasm. Keep up the good work!

Are there currently plans to integrate functionalities of the Friends plugin directly into the Activitypab plugin, in particular the wp-friendship function? So that we can follow other Wordpress instances without the Friends plugin?

There was a hint in #268

This is one of the top priorities for this year!

I'm sorry this takes so long, but ActivityPub is a very noisy protocol that generates a lot of traffic. We need to ensure we implement it correctly. Unlike Mastodon, WordPress is designed to work in a classic shared hosting environment, so we must ensure a typical setup can handle the traffic effectively.
