Editorial Comments are not refreshed #327

Hrm. Not sure I'm seeing the same thing. I'm using WordPress v4.5.1, what version of WordPress are you using? Steps to reproduce You'll see in the screenshot after I create a new post I get the following message: You can add editorial comments to a post once you've saved it for the first time. After saving the post, I get the following: Steps to reproduce |
@littlesnitch are you still encountering this issue? |
@littlesnitch do you have other plugins enabled on your site? If so, which ones are they? |
So, here are the plugins that are installed and their versions:
|
Awesome, thanks for the info. Haven't been able to recreate this yet using Edit Flow version 0.8.1 and with all the plugins you mentioned activated. Any chance you can upgrade to Edit Flow version 0.8.1 and see if the issue persists? |
System was upgraded to 0.8.1, but it still doesn't work. |
Hrm. Couple quick questions:

Hi there,
|
Hi there, are there any news? |
The only message that comes up in console is: This one comes before: If I click on "Respond to this post" I get this line: After clicking on "Submit Response":
Hope that I did anonymize correctly. |
Hrm. Thanks for all the information, but at this point I'm not sure I'll be able to assist with the issue. It's strange that after deactivating all other plugins except Edit Flow and reverting to using Twenty Sixteen 1.2 you're still encountering this issue. I haven't heard of other folks having a similar issue with using Editorial Comments. Sounds like there's something different about the environment or web host you're using that might be causing the issue. I'll leave this ticket open for a bit to see if anyone else can lend a hand (and to see if other users end up reporting having a similar problem). |
@littlesnitch Are you still experiencing this issue? |
@philipjohn: Yes, the issue still exists. |
Hi @littlesnitch, I tried to replicate this for a bit as well, but could not. You mentioned in the replication steps with step one being "open a new post". Are you doing this on a post that has not been initially saved yet? This shouldn't be possible, but wonder if you're hitting an edge case around that somehow. Otherwise, also wanted to double check that you've tried this with both all other plugins disabled and a default WordPress theme activated at the same time. Other than that, the only thing I can think of is some oddities with the web host. |
Hello everybody,
we have an issue with EditFlow 0.8 containing "Editorial Comments".
At the moment this must be done in order to see an Editorial Comment:
-> open a new post
-> Scroll down to the end of the post
-> click on "Editorial Comments"
-> click on "Respond to this post"
->
-> click on "Submit Response"
-> Comment is inserted but not visible
-> NOW PRESS F5 FOR REFRESH
-> Comment is inserted and visible
So I would feel this as a bug, because I would like to have that the comment is inserted and visible immediately.
Thank you.
