[Canon EOS 650D] preview fps low - not able to 30fps

OS: up-to-date Arch (installed from AUR)
CPU is only at 8% (and I have 4 cores)
Effective fps is only about 10 (hard to count exactly)

Maybe can provide more info - just tell me what to provide.

I tried on my Canon EOS 650D FPS is not particularly good, but I think something is about 20 fps. I suspect that the problem in lighting and the camera just can not cope, try opening the diaphragm wider and adding light.

Same issue here - working with Ubuntu and Sony RX100 V ... feels like 15fps

Same Issue here - Ubuntu and Canon 200d. Image is very laggy

For future travelers, set the camera from "recording video" to "taking photos" mode. That worked for me on my 6D.
