This may seem like an odd request that doesn't quite fit the project (and that may be the case). However, I have long wanted a widget that essentially mirrors the notifications in the main notification panel. It could also be configured to only show a filtered subset of notifications.
The reason for this is due to my experience with elderly users (specifically my grandparents). Even though they have had Android devices for over 10 years, I have never been able to get them to check the notification bar - "swipe down" just isn't something they do.
Older people tend to only interact with what is on their home screen - if an app or widget isn't there right in front of them, they never use it. Every time I visit and check up on their devices, their notification bar is full of items that they never see. They only ever look at what is in front of them on the home screen.
If there was a widget on the home screen that mirrored what is in the notification bar, they would actually notice and respond to notifications. It would be ideal to be able to only show current notifications instead of historical ones.
I don't know if you could add this feature to your current app or if you might consider creating a separate app with this feature. There are one or two paid apps that provide this functionality, but they don't do it well. This is the only FOSS notification manager app I've found, so I am hopeful that you might be willing to add such a capability.
I'm a web developer and not an Android dev, so I don't know if I have the skills to submit a PR. I'm more than happy to test beta releases, though.
Thank you!

Hey, thanks! I really appreciate it! Just got a new tablet for my grandma, and it would be awesome to have this available for her (even in a alpha/beta state - I can at least set up the widget as features are added in future updates).
