-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Project: OpenDMTP Reference Implementation - Java server
URL : http://www.opendmtp.org
File : CHANGELOG.txt
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Version 1.3.2
- NEW: PayloadTemplate.java modified to accept String field defintions on constructor.
Version 1.3.1
- NEW: Updated utilities library
Version 1.3.0
- NEW: Updated to Java 5 (Java 5 compile now required)
- NEW: Updated 'org.opengts.util' tools
Version 1.2.14
- NEW: Allow client to respond with an event template during the same session where
the server has responded with a NAK_FORMAT_NOT_RECOGNIZED error. This now
allows immediate custom event packet negotiation.
Version 1.2.13
- NEW: Changed package name 'org.opendmtp.util' to 'org.opengts.util'. This allows
reducing the size of the dmtpserv.jar, used by the OpenGTS project, by sharing
the low-level tools already provided in the OpenGTS project. Those utilities
needed by OpenDMTP have still been included in this project and are now built
into the jar file 'utils.jar'.
- NEW: Added additional field types to event packet template.
Version 1.2.12
- NEW: 'DMTPClientPacketHandler' changed to now support recording connection
statistic information (bytesRead, bytesWritten, etc).
- NEW: Added 'ClientDiagnostic.java' module for specifying client diagnostic values.
Version 1.2.11
- NEW: "org.opendmtp.server.db.DeviceDB.getPendingPackets()" now returns a
PacketList object (for optimization/error-checking).
Version 1.2.10
- NEW: Added several new fields captured by "DMTPGeoEvent.java", such as GPS HDOP,
VDOP, # of satellites, plus additional fields to capture engine diagnostic
information, etc.
- CHG: Updated various support tools.
Version 1.2.9
- NEW: Added additional server shutdown methods
- NEW: Added support for FLD_sensor32LO/FLD_sensor32HI data fields
Version 1.2.8
- NEW: Minor optimizations made to message logging.
- FIX: Log file now properly displays account/device on client connection.
Version 1.2.7
- NEW: 'StatusCodes.GetCodeDescription' now defaults to hex value of status code.
- NEW: Added check for remaining available read/write bytes to 'Payload'.
- FIX: Fixed client IP address not properly being propagated to the Event record.
Version 1.2.6
- FIX: Fixed problem introduced in 'StringTools.parseBoolean' which caused it to
return the 'default' value, rather than 'false', if the parsed string was
not a true value.
Version 1.2.5
- NEW: Added FIELD_ODOMETER.
- NEW: Added 'org.opendmtp.codes.PropCodes' class to handle server-side property
requests and property formatting.
- FIX: Fixed static Packet.getPacketLength to properly parse and return the proper
length of binary encoded packets (this fixes OpenGTS PendingPackets).
Version 1.2.4
- NEW: Added FIELD_OBC_COOLANT_LEVEL, FIELD_OBC_OIL_PRESSURE to OBC field support.
- NEW: Added hi/lo resolution support for OBC 'LEVEL' fields (COOLANT, OIL, FUEL).
- NEW: Added ability to listen on more than one port.
- CHG: Changed FIELD_OBC_ENGINE_TEMP to FIELD_OBC_COOLANT_TEMP (+added hiRes mode)
Version 1.2.3
- CHG: When unable to determine the client packet encoding (typically due to a
client protocol error), 'Hex' will be used as the default packet encoding
when returning error packets (previously there was no default encoding which
resulted in no error packets being returned).
Version 1.2.2
- NEW: Added support for new STATUS_QUERY and STATUS_LOW_BATTERY status codes.
- CHG: The MySQL data store, and companion utilities, have been moved to the new
project "OpenGTS". This will allow the "OpenDMTP Java Server" package to
remain a pure reference implementation of the server-side OpendDMTP protocol.
- CHG: Code clean up to remove some of the potential compiler warnings.
Version 1.1.4
- NEW: Now includes a build target for creating a Servlet WAR file for delivering
CSV, or KML(XML), formatted records over the web. KML formatted records can
be imported directly into Google Earth (which also automatically retrieve
periodic updates to the data) so that as new records come in to the MySQL
database, they will automatically be updated in Google Earth.
- NEW: MySQL datastore server now has better error checking.
- NEW: The built-in logging facility has been updated with some additional
features and provides an easier path for eventually porting to Log4J.
Version 1.1.3
- NEW: Now includes support for extracting events from the 'Device' MySQL table into
a file in Google Earth's "kml" (XML) format. This file can then be loaded
and viewed in Google Earth.
Version 1.1.2
- BUG: Added a comment about the use of the JavaMail api. Also, renamed the source
file "SendMail.java" to "SendMail.java.save" to allow the compiling without
JavaMail api support.
- NEW: Minor changes to the MySQL dabase support.
Version 1.1.1
- NEW: Now Includes support for MySQL data store.
- NEW: Added "STATUS_INITIALIZED" and "STATUS_WAYMARK" to the OpenDMTP protocol.
Version 1.1.0
- NEW: First public release of the full featured OpenDMTP Java server reference
implementation.
- NEW: Works with both C and J2ME based OpenDMTP clients.
- NEW: Full support for Client Custom Event Packet Negotiation.
- NEW: Protocol imlementation supports multiple accounts/devicess and connection
accounting.
