With Aider 0.75.1, I cannot find a way to enter in "ask" mode by default. In ~/.env which is otherwise understood, I tried:
# This one seems to work, if you want "architect" mode:
#AIDER_ARCHITECT=1
# None of those work:
AIDER_ASK=1
AIDER_ASK=true
AIDER_CHAT_MODE=ask
AIDER_CHATMODE=ask
AIDER_CHAT_STYLE=ask
I could use --chat-mode ask on the command line with a shell alias, but it'd be much saner if I could configure it like other options. I suspect a bug since most command line options seem to be supported in configuration files (YAML or environment).
