<h5>Position Description</h5>
<p> A Research Assistant position will be available in the Computational Neuroscience research in Cognitive Robotics
Laboratory in the Department of Computer Engineering and Information Technology. The researcher will assist with
all aspects of the research projects (designing/programming experiments, recruiting/running participants, analyzing
behavioral and neuroimaging data) in Laboratory(for more information please
visit <a href="http://aut-crlab.github.io/research.html"> aut-crlab.github.io/research </a> and <a href="http://aut-crlab.github.io/pubs.html"> aut-crlab.github.io/pubs</a>). This is an excellent position for anyone seeking
research experience and training in Computational and Cognitive Neuroscience before applying to graduate programs.</a></p>
<h5>Preferred Qualifications</h5>
<p>A bachelor's student in computer science, computer engineering, math, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, or other related fields. Strong computer programming skills (especially MATLAB, Python, C++) are required. Candidate should be self-motivated, independent, and reliable. Strong organizational and communication skills are also essential. Prior experience in human affective, clinical or cognitive neuroscience (e.g., conducting and analyzing fMRI or MRI studies) and programming will all be viewed positively, but are not required.</p>

<p>As new methods have been suggested, created and implemented in the robotics and AI science like Machine learning,
Neural Network, etc. the computers and robots are becoming more capable and more numerous and the world tends
to become more dependent on AI driven robots resulting in the birth of cognitive robots in coming years. Therefore,
we have come together in Cognitive Robotics Lab to innovate new ideas, design new algorithms, implement new methods
in robotics and AI field and further improve Cognitive Robotics beyond the edges of technology.</p>
