.TH TMON 1 "Feb 05, 2009" "" "Linux User's Manual"
.SH NAME
tmon \- tMon distributed resource monitor client
.SH SYNOPSIS
.B tmon
[\c
.BI \-f \ rcfile\fP\c
]
.br
.SH DESCRIPTION
\fBtmon\fP is the client part of the tMon Distributed Resource Monitor. The
\fBtmon\fP client creates a TCP/IP connection to the \fBtmond\fP(8) daemon
running on each of the hosts that are to be monitored. This is basicly a revamped edition of the orphaned package by Jaco Breitenback. The program wont hang on non working computers in the tmonrc file. And The program doesn't use swap but harddisk usage.
.LP
The client displays CPU, memory and disk usage on the host machines. The amount
of resources consumed is displayed as a horizontal bar, ranging between 0% and
100%. Where the terminal is capable of colour, a load between 0% and 33% is
indicated in green, 33% to 66% in yellow, and 66%+ in red.
.LP
With a long list of hosts on display, it is possible to scroll through the
list using the cursor keys, or simply resize the window in X.
.SH OPTIONS
